Founded in 1999, Oneworks started with a clear mission: to create practical technology solutions that support businesses in their everyday operations. Our first major project was the E-Claims platform, which simplified automotive claims by bringing car repair shops, adjusters, and insurance companies onto a single, connected platform. Over the years, we’ve expanded our offerings to include 24/7 contact center services and energy-saving LED lighting solutions through a partnership with NationGate Solutions Sdn Bhd.

In 2016, we launched the Carfix brand to provide transparent and reliable roadside assistance services across Malaysia. This was further expanded in 2019 with a vehicle extended warranty management system, connecting workshops with vehicle owners for efficient service. As we move forward, our focus has shifted towards sustainability, exemplified by our partnership with Gokin Solar Ltd and the creation of Oneworks New Energy Sdn Bhd, which aims to deliver renewable energy solutions across Southeast Asia.

About Oneworks Sdn Bhd

Founded in 1999, Oneworks has grown into a versatile technology company dedicated to providing businesses with comprehensive, end-to-end solutions that support their daily operational needs. Our journey began with the launch of our first solution, E-Claims, a platform designed to streamline automotive claims by connecting car repair shops, adjusters, and insurance companies into a single, integrated system. In 2006, we expanded our offerings by venturing into Contact Center Services. Recognizing the importance of round-the-clock support, we provide our clients with 24/7 omnichannel contact center services, ensuring their customers’ needs are met at any time. Our platform is API-ready for seamless integration with multiple third-party systems, enhancing our clients’ operational efficiency.

Our commitment to innovation continued in 2013 when we partnered with NationGate Solutions Sdn Bhd to embark on producing and marketing energy-saving LED lighting products. We’ve worked on major projects like AMARI SPICE in Penang and Design Village, contributing to more efficient and sustainable lighting solutions, further establishing our presence in the energy efficiency sector.

In 2016, we introduced the Carfix brand to the market, focusing on providing transparent and reliable roadside assistance services across Malaysia. Through Carfix, we connect towing companies nationwide with insurance and automotive companies, offering peace of mind to road users during vehicle breakdowns or accidents. Our services include vehicle towing, battery changes or jump-start, tyre change, and more.

By 2019, Carfix had expanded to include vehicle extended warranty management solutions, linking mechanical workshops with vehicle owners who have purchased extended warranties. We are proud to work with reputable brands such as AEON Credit Extended Warranty, 365 EW, SengCars, and Warranty Smart, ensuring that vehicle owners receive the best care and coverage.

In 2024, as part of our commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, Oneworks successfully adopted the ISO 27001:2022 certification, highlighting our dedication to information security and management. Additionally, we partnered with Gokin Solar Ltd to establish Oneworks New Energy Sdn Bhd, providing renewable energy solutions to the Southeast Asian market.

Datuk Christopher
Wan Soo Kee

Independent Non-Executive Chairman

Datuk Christopher Wan Soo Kee, a former Commissioner of Police in the Royal Malaysia Police, joined the service in 1969 and dedicated 39 years to serving the nation. Throughout his tenure, he held various key positions that significantly contributed to the peace and stability of the community. His key positions included Assistant Director of Management at Bukit Aman, Head of the Special Branch in Kuala Lumpur, Chief Police Officer of both Melaka and Penang, and ultimately, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at Bukit Aman.

After retiring from the Royal Malaysia Police, Datuk Christopher was appointed by His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong as a Member of the Election Commission of Malaysia (SPR) from 2008 to 2017. His profound leadership and extensive expertise have left a lasting impact on the Malaysian society.

Phen Yee Kang

Managing Director

Yee Kang joined the company in 2009 and was appointed as Managing Director in 2013. Over his 15-year career in the insurance and automotive industry, he has restructured and re-developed the company’s infrastructure, focusing on digitalizing all business processes to enhance efficiency and connecting better to the customers.

In 2016, Yee Kang founded the Carfix brand, aiming to streamline roadside assistance and claim experiences for related stakeholders by delivering and communicating real-time data to customers. His commitment to innovation led the company to explore AI-focused solutions in the automotive and claims sectors starting in 2020.

Yee Kang holds a Bachelor of Information Systems from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Business Intelligence and Management Systems from Monash University. He is a certified insurance practitioner and holds a diploma in insurance loss adjusting. In addition, he is a Certified Microsoft Partner as well as a private pilot.

He currently serves as a director at Mestari Adjusters, heading the company’s digital initiatives.

Tan Hock Sim

Executive Director

Mr. Tan joined the company in 2013. He graduated from University Science Malaysia with a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) and a Master in Public Administration. Prior to this, he served various positions in the Penang Development Corporation (PDC) and Chief Minister Office in Penang state government and then Prime Minister Department in the federal government.

Currently, he is an adviser to Taipei Investors’ Association in Malaysia, senior advisor to Jinko Solar Technology Sdn Bhd (listed in NYSE) and provides consulting services to investors and developers in matters relating to government affairs.

Dato' Ir Lim Yew Soon

Independent Non-Executive Director
Chairman, Oneworks Lighting Sdn Bhd

Dato’ Ir. Lim has served Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) for more than 38 years where he held various positions including Chief Engineer as well as General Manager for Penang and Kuala Lumpur overseeing the commercial and technical area of TNB distribution.

Currently, he is the board member of SIRIM Bhd. SIRIM is a premier industrial research and technology organisation in Malaysia and a wholly-owned company of the Malaysian Government under the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).

He is also Board Chairman of Sirim Standard Technology Sdn Bhd.

He is a Professional Engineer (Lembaga Jurutera Malaysia), Chartered Engineer (Engineering Council, United Kingdom), Competent Engineer (Perakuan Kekompetenan Sebagai Jurutera Elektrik Kompeten, Suruhanjaya Tenaga) and Services Engineer (Perakuan Kekompetenan Sebagai Jurutera Perkhidmatan Elektrik, Suruhanjaya Tenaga).

Tan Chee Leong

Operation Director

Chee Leong, with 20 years of experience in Operations and Information Technology, is the co-founder of Carfix. He has extensive expertise in roadside assistance and claims processes, contributing significantly to the company’s innovative solutions and service delivery.

Amy Wong

Business Development Director

Amy Wong joined the company in 2023 as Executive Director. Prior to this, she worked with several general insurance companies in Malaysia, focusing on marketing and relationship management. She has experience and knowledge across a wide range of general insurance products, including motor, property and casualty, travel, health, and employee benefits, to name a few.

Subsequently, she joined a Korean product trading company as Vice President of Marketing. In this role, she assisted Korean manufacturers in establishing a presence in Malaysia and successfully introduced multiple Korean brands to the Malaysian market.

Amy is a graduate of La Trobe University, where she majored in Marketing and Management.

Philip Koh Eng Hwa

Business Process Director

Philip Koh has over 37 years of experience in the banking and insurance industries, holding various functional, project, and leadership roles. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Leicester University, UK, and possesses postgraduate qualifications in banking (AIBM) and life insurance (LOMA). His extensive career is marked by a strong focus on customer-centric operational and project management services, consistently meeting expectations by delivering results within budget and achieving strategic propositions for specific projects.

Throughout his career, Philip has specialized in leading large teams, managing complex projects, and optimizing operations. He has held key roles such as Senior Manager of System and Method at MBf Finance (5 years) and Head of Quality and Planning at HLA Assurance (5 years), where he supported corporate planning, strategy, and quality management functions. His broad experience across people, technology, and processes has equipped him with a solid foundation in project planning and management, as well as strategic organizational skills.

Having served as Head of CX, Operations, and Project Management with several major life and general insurers throughout his career, Philip possesses deep subject matter knowledge and expertise in both life and general insurance, particularly regarding the different technologies, processes, and challenges across various functional areas within an organization. His ability to integrate technology, optimize processes, and enhance customer experience has led to numerous successful projects. He was awarded the Asia Pacific Leadership Award for Excellence in Business Transformation from International Australia Group (IAG) for his excellent work in successfully integrating AmGen and Kurnia’s customer service and operations.

Philip also has a deep understanding of the latest digital trends, technologies, and best practices in overcoming business challenges. Rising from a rank-and-file position to Chief Operations Officer at Tokio Marine Insurance, Philip’s career is distinguished by his hands-on approach to people management and business process transformation, to achieve the strategic deployment of key business initiatives.

Foong Kok Cheong

Towing Director

Kok Cheong, the Towing Director, brings over 20 years of experience in roadside assistance and towing operations. He holds an E license and has hands-on expertise in car repair and diagnostics, along with extensive experience in maintaining and managing tow trucks.
